Cyberpunk Connection

Syn tosses in his bed, then bolts up.
"... bananas want my eyes!" Seeing no yellow or green attackers, he calms down and looks around.
It's night time; must have been a good mission and a real doctor. You didn't have many nights in the afterlife.
He stretches carefully, seeing if he is back in action, then carefully gets up and dressed. He walks to the kitchen and give the wheel a spin while he calls his contacts.
He has some jobs to finish, he has some friends he has to get tabs on, and he has some ants to inspire with a heartfelt speech on the magical qualities of oatmeal.

Odessa Brushes her hair our as she response to her face man, "Keep looking at those you can and I will talk to the geist needed." She flicks her tail idely as she mulls over an idea. "I do not want some connections to close down on you my dear, if there is a Geist involved. I may not love you for your body or mind but I love you for your skills." She racks her mind about the list she needs to do before suggesting, "May you make a list of those I can approach and lists of what I can use on them to sweeten the pot. I know my looks and mind can only go so far." She starts to change for her next show and sighs slightly. "I will talk to you more after a randevu with a Mr. M. He has some information for me that has peeked my interest. When I meet I will keep an open line with you if you are able to take it."
Odessa goes through her motions to finish up her night and leaves once she is in her street clothing. She out right refuses to acknowledge Joseph trying to get her attention and cooly slides her arm into the Man that is escorting her out of her to Mr. M.

Dawn frowns as she watches the doctors work on her Master, when the one nurse pulls her aside she glances over at her Master again and thinks. "I...I'm not sure right now...give me a moment miss...are those claw marks on him...?" She murmurs and rubs her head before looking down and sighing softly. "Let's go with the cybernetics ma'am." She finally says to the nurse before nodding, she takes another glance at her master and frowns once more before heading towards the door and stopping. "Oh! Miss?" The nurse looks at her curiously and blinks. "Yes miss?" Dawn smiles and pulls her data pad and types something on it before showing the nurse the message on the screen which reads: "Could you please have someone remove this chip my master's attacker put on me?" The nurse blinks at this and nods. "Sure thing Miss, we'll have someone see you soon." Dawn simply smiles softly and leaves the room with a sigh. "Thank goodness he is alive..."

"Somewhat." Kessler took a sip from his drink before he turned his attention to the report on the Mechanicus. "Shit..." Kessler downed the rest of his drink in one gulp, then said goodbye to Vic before driving over to the apartment in question. Stepping out of his car, he walked over to the nearest police officer and showing him his ID. "I work for DEX. What's the situation?"

Raid/ Hikaru
Alessia looks up and her face goes pale as she watches the news clips flick over the video screen. "Regis..." She covers her mouth as she looks at the machine that starts to groan with with mixed signals as the wanted man starts to wake up. He absentmindedly places a hand on the hatchet to keep it closed to keep him hidden. "Keep this closed, who ever is awake in there. They are already looking for you." There is muffled speech which is intelligible as the suit straightens up but does nothing other then that. There is what sounds like a faint protest as Alessia pulls out thin binding material to tie his hatchet shut. Alessia pulls up her sleave and grimices as she pushes on her skin to reveal a fleshy wire and plugs into the suit. Her expression goes from disgust to a spaced out look that flickers through anger, annoyance, shock, and panic. Her mouth moves slightly as if she is talking but no noise comes out.

Hikaru can recognize most of the people here as potentially dangerous due to their modified nature. The sudden movement of Clanker's suit alerts her he might be awake. He registers as a potential danger from doing something stupid in his stupor and greatly weakened state. It seems like no one has taken interest in the group of yet.

Charles finds a very sloppily covered path. But when he rescans it he realizes that the hacker that he is following that is part of the Geist's connections is connected to Odessa's old company, a side group that was known to be upset at Odessa for leaving. The hacker stupidly forgot to cover his tracks, it is not a trap. An idiot forgot to cover is actions, any one can find him if they are looking for it.
Charles on his investigations on the Geist Discovers he has been looking for those that still have money and is looking for a sugar mama to help fund his causes. Seems like he has been after women that have some kind of money, and he really likes money still connected in companies. Oddly enough it seems like he has been looking for a Odessa Syn of one of the Syn Companies and she has vanished off their radar. Charles can tell this man has money to have other connections but those seem to be covered and he is not quite sure how many this man might have as real allies.

Dawn
The nurse frowns slightly, "No those are not claw marks...I am not sure what they are but they are far too jagged to be claw marks... It is almost like the skin swelled and burst rapidly."
It is hours before he wakes up after the operation, but even with him coming out he his heavily medicated and out of it. The chip is removed from her neck and they seem to patch her up during this time.

Odessa
She escorted away by a large man who promptly reminds Joseph out side to step away. When he doesn't Two other people move out of the shadows to escort him away. As he is escorted away he yells something about her having someone looking for her and that he wants her back.
The car she is brought to is a stylized black hovercraft. In side her guard seem to keep to them self and do not seem to talk much. The inside looks well cared for and meant to impress people from what she can see. She is silently escorted to Mr. M's conference room. She is given a plush seat that seems tailored to someone with cosmetic tail addition, in front of the holographic projector. The room is lavish in deep rich colors of red, blues, gold, and purples. Seems this is more of a place to have a casual drink in rather then a proper business deal from what she is use to and enforces on her company. The guard stays with her till Mr. M appears. He is a Black geist, with red silk open shirt and black leather pants. She just barely missed the geist implants because of the visor he has over his head. He smiles broadly at her revealing his pearl white teeth and settles down in a plush chair across from her. He does not seem to knowdice her implants under her fur fluff.
"Ah welcome my dear. You took me by surprise with your exotic looks." He claps his hands together in a extravagant manner to bring out food. A number of people come in to set down plates and their meal. When the food is revealed she can see that he has prepared a classic steak dinner for them. Steak, potatoes, and asparagus. "Please eat and we can talk about our deal after our meal."

Kessler
Kessler approaching the apartment can see that there was an explosion that damaged the corridor out side the apartment, where there is warping of the actual hallway. The warping seems to be from sudden heat then cooling of the area making it twist oddly. The Officer looks over and grimices as there is a sound of a muffled explosion. "Ah yes... Well we are still attempting to disarm the house. Seems like the Mechanicus is no longer here but we have secured the living room. Just be careful if you go near the kitchen... We have not been able to remove all the weapons there."
In side the local police force managed to get one of their heavy suits in which is facing towards the hall way to the bed rooms. The Suit seems to have fresh plasma and bullet damage as it stays hunkered down, almost acting like a shield for those behind it. The living room window is destroyed and appears something crashed through from the oust side. At the kitchen there are men with riot shields as knifes, forks, and spoons are flung at them by mechanical arms. The fruit stand seems to of lowered to reveal what appears to be a machine gun. There is a data pad on the coffee table that has android parts for upgrading a sex bot. One of the couches have been surgically cut on the side in the form of an X as if to mark it. If it wasn't for the explosion marks, warped walls, and bullet holes, the man looks like a bachelor with possible room mates, from he number of rooms past the heavy battle suit which is slowly making progress down the hallway. . A bit paranoid because Kessler can see the man has reinforced his walls with blast containment measures and extreme sound muffling walls. it almost like this mechancus was planing to have a final hold out in his large apartment. Kessler finally realizes this is two apartments put together that the mechanicus knocked the wall out of. Seems like the man he is after has a lot of resources if he is able to get away with owning two apartments and able to alter them to this degree. There are one or two non police people here but He can pick them out as other company agents.

Kessler gets a written response from DEX that explains to him that the Mechanicus Regis was under watch of the corporations since he was the neutral man and was watching a valuable assembly of technology he developed part of since he has been unwilling to recreate any more because he has only half of the designs. He was only suppose to watch the creation to make sure it did not escape their radar again. But due to his medical alarms that were placed inside of him having a sudden drop in vitals they sent people to collect him and the technology. But it seems like he rigged his house to damage any one coming in. They wish for Kessler to search for clues to where he might of gone since he is in no shape to move right now with low vitals. They have been unable to track him because it has seemed like he has ripped out the tracking devices they implanted into him at some point. Please locate him before other companies can locate him.

Syn is having fevered dreams.
Odd, he seems not alone. A man in a bright hall haunts him, mumbling about angels.
He is not dead, and and at times he stumbles to fetch some water, which he drinks greedily.
Hours blur, but Syn knows the worst of the pain is spent, and now waits for lucidity to take him again.

Dawn sighs in relief as the chip is removed and rubs where it was. "Thank goodness that thing is gone...I'm still glad he is terrible at programming. Still gave me a way to get help with removing it." She chuckles for a moment before going to her medicated Master's side and frowns. "Master Keal? How are you feeling...?" Dawn takes his hand as he looks at her groggily. "Alive....for starters...and it's very good to see that you are well..." He seems to smile as best he can before laying back. "Iiii think I'm gonna sleep a bit more...yes, sleep sounds good.." Keal mumbles out before closing his eyes to sleep the meds off and Dawn sighs in relief again before planting a kiss on her Master's head and leaves the room to let him rest, she approaches one of the doctors and smiles with a nod. "Thank you so much for saving my master...how soon do you think till he will be able to leave?"

Odessa narrows her eyes and picks up her knife and fork. "I wish to talk about my old company now as we eat. Your flattering is nice but i see the ploy of attempting to softening me. I came here for business and that is what I plan on." She cuts into the meat and tastes for if it real or synthetic, as she catalogs oh the threat level he imposed on the meat. Median if it is synthetic, High if it is real. She has no trust for this Geist as she sends out short pulse messages with those she trusts to find out about Mr. M. She asks her face man about this geist as well as other contacts. She gives instructs them to give her short responses by cybernetic messages.

She lets her teeth bare slightly at the displeasure with this man trying to under mind her intelligence with frivolous items. She readies the quick commands she will need to send a feed back of many radio waves at him if she requires it, now that this man has shown him self to be a Geist. And the one thing she is knows is that something in every geist is heightened. Hers is possession, territorial aggression. She will not give something up with out a fight, not like before where she stepped down with grace in her father's eyes. His could be sexual appetite or compulsive lying for all she knows and this was a ploy to bring her self into his clutches. She keeps her defenses up and her purse near her thigh in easy to reach range.

Kessler examined the data pad, looking for the name of the manufacturer for those parts as he called one of his people at DEX. "This is Kessler. I need all the info we have on this Regis guy. See if you trace his movements over the past week." He pocketed the data pad for later review as he moved toward the hallway to the bedrooms, looking over the heavy suit's head. "What kind of traps are we looking at in this hall?"

Syn
There is a knocking on Syn’s door with Bruno on the other side of the door. He is bandaged up something fierce about his arm and chest. His eyes are bright and alert despite his pale complexion other wise. Probly has some kind of drug helping him stay upright.

Dawn
The doctors frown slightly. “I would have to say in 3 weeks. He had many vital organs damaged. And even with the cybernetics he needs to learn how to move what was damaged that helps with one of his arms.” His eyes flicker slightly before they move to the clock. “You will have to leave soon unless you are a guard android but you will have to remain in his room.

Odessa
Mr. M looks faintly surprised at Odessa’s wish to jump right into business. He actually falters before collecting him self. His typical ploy to soften his prey did not work. The meal is real beef and it seems he paid for real potatoes as well but the vegetables are synthetic. He clears his throat before smiling yet again. “Ah Odessa. You take me by surprise after your polite stepping down from your position while your father was alive. And I heard about your tantrum with taking of every thing your father’s company was working on before the change.” He pauses to look over her as if he is sizing her up or evaluating her as well as the faint ogling look that she gets from a lot of men when dancing. “ Well I heard you still had many assets that I would like to use. And I assume you want your Company back because of your tantrum. I would like you to have your company back for a 50- 50 profit. For my help of course. You get to deal with all the company stuff and get it back. And I get 50 percent of the money.”

Raid
Alessa snaps out of whatever talk she is having with Clanker. “We were talking about our course of action. And… he will not be able to watch out for you any more.”
Clanker’s suit voices out very mechanically, “We are going into hiding. She is talking to her group and I am talking to those lost.” Alessa gives Clanker a look that he is absolutely crazy. “I can fix her arm…Just will need to hit up old stashes. And stay in the open.”

Kessler
The heavy suit looks at him as it says, “So far we have located explosives in the living room and hidden guns. In the hallway we have located that there is high energy going through the walls. We believe it will fry any one not able to take the output that is being created. There also seems to be some kind of tank up in the celling and down in the floor, that we can see with our equipment but the contents are of an unknown content.” One of the security groups managed to make it to the first door in the hallway and disable the traps by controlled detonation. Seems like they have given up on trying to hack the system to disable the defenses. The floor and the celling released some kind of fine white mist. The closest people start backing away even the heavy security suits back away a bit as their suits come in contact with it. One seems to fail as their right leg lock up. Ice is now covering the hallway in a thin layer. The temperature of the apartment had dropped suddenly so even the farthest reaches feel like the inside of a freezer. The temperature feels like it dropped down to 25 degrees. They start bringing in shields to reduce the affect of getting frozen but they seem unsure about how to deal with this kind of trap.

“We are compiling all we can for you. Regis is a mechanicus that we along with other companies have employed to watch over an experiment he has created that has eluted our grasps. The employment was under a forced contract which was he can look after his experiment seeing that he has not been forth coming with his information on how it was built. Seems like he was not the only specialist on this project. So it appears he only has part of the information even if he was to release it. He seems overly attached to the experiments he crated and calls them his kids. He is not likely to give up or harm his experiments but will harm any one who threatens them. Be leery it shows he has been a Mechanicus most of his life and those are generally prodigies of some kind.

He has been where his charge has. Which has been in a few bars, grocery store, The government vehicle resell site in the city, in the smog levels of the city, A number of parts shops. There seems to be no pattern to his movements besides going to get massive amounts of food, three times a week at 5 in the evening. Oddly he has not shown up at any known Mechanicus places and only seems to appear in public areas. He has shown up at the Neon Scratch Bar but it appears he was picking up someone he knew there. An exotic dancer, that goes by Foxy there, You might want to check that out since she might know how to get in contact with him. Earlier today it seems like he was hanging out near Tartan's Foil and Armaments. Reasons unknown unless he was following his ward.“

Odessa ears slowly turn back before flicking forward suddenly as she continues to repeat this movement. She puts on a blank face so he can not easily pick up that she is greatly displeased with this agreement. She also does not like the fact someone seems to of told him about her endeavors of regaining what was her rightful projects that were discarded. It was not a tantrum. She silently balks at the idea of sharing the profit of the company with this man who wants half of her fathers company's money. How special does this man think he is? She smiles as only one can with cosmetics which is showing a great amount of teeth, sharp teeth. She is not happy with the high danger she set to this man so she must politly excuse her self from him. She is sure she could deal with him, permanently, but not his own people when they come in.
"That is a nice offer but fifty percent of the company's money? I am sorry I would like it back with at least ninety percent back. So I can pay most of the workers there and all the bills that come along with that company. As well as profit a bit from it." She does not lie about needing the ninety percent to pay for workers and the bills for running her companies not just that one. She fully plans on merging the two at some point after obtaining her lost company again and take the spot she was raised for. "Now this is nice but I have to check in on a relative of mine as well get some sleep. I was up early today and have been dreadfully busy with my roommates' shenanigans." She stops as she quickly glances over the message she got from charles. "Also it seems their shenanigans have cause renovations to my apartment so excuse me I have business to attend to for my self." She leaves half of the steak and potatoes but has eaten all the fruit. "Now if you will please let me out near Bobby-Joes Big Slide." Her tail shivers slightly as it pauses in it's swishing. "This was a nice meal but I would dearly like to leave. I need my sleep and I would like to relax." She places her hands together in her lap, to make her breast pop out a bit as her bright blue eyes get larger to give him a pleading look. As much as she dislikes using this tactic it works most of the time for getting what she wants. But then again that is for bars and for extra tips.

Syn opens the door for Bruno.
Noting the bandages, he has to ask, "I swore I was to test the armor. What happened?"
He lets him in and offers some food, drink, and drug if he wants.

Dawn frowns at the news and nods before going back into her Master's room to plant a kiss on his head before leaving to join the man whom came to the hospital with, she looks back at the hospital and frowns one last time before shaking her head and smiling at the man. "He is doing...ok. They said he would have to stay in for 3 weeks....and I need cheering up...what do ya say about maybe coming to a party? We could set one up and possibly invite your boss, his men, and I could invite some of my own friends over. Doesn't that sound like fun?" She says cheerfully and winks at Mr. M's man as she thinks of how to get back at her fake master for what he did to her real one.

Kessler pocketed the datapad, then turned his attention to the hallway. "Stand clear. I'll need a moment." His eyes adopted a red tinge as he activated his thermal vision, running them along the walls, floor, and ceiling, searching for any heat signatures that stood out. He found a large spot that was undoubtedly the core housing the apartment's AI. "I'm gonna try to hack it." If his eyes had pupils, it would have looked like he was rapidly flitting them from left to right as he began trying to talk to it. "We don't have to be friends, but I'm not your enemy. I just want to say what I have to say. You can kick me out of your system after that, and I won't try to stop you. Your owner... Regis... He might be in trouble. Hurt, even. You don't want anything bad to happen to him, right? Then please shut down the traps so I can find something that might help me find him."

Kessler
Inside the house AI, something does not seem right about the core since all the information seems to be unorganized and ever shifting with no actual form, which seemed odd for a AI with a core.
The AI seems increasingly snarky when it talks to him, "I know he was hurt but better now. That whore of an android got him and he had a computer and bio system reset then his room mate's android plugged into him improperly after dingus and flower stabilized his computer systems and were purging the drugs." Kessler feels the computer AI dropping walls of ever changing coded walls to have only one easy way out. "So you can blow off. His roommates of room 3 took him out of here so who knows where they took him. You could ask that foxy room mate of his where he might be since she asked him today about a marriage proposal." It seems to laugh as it thinks on this, "Yeah.. you corporations can go delete your selfs. Move your ass out of here. Not like you can arrest me. Hah! Oh and tell those police to get out of Foxy's room or her robot cat will maul them if they touch any thing in there. Those damn clunks are going to get torn up."

Syn
Bruno Laughs slightly as he comes in. "Ohhh yeah but I might of gotten jumped by some gangsters in the area and they tried to mug me." He raises his one good arm and makes a punching motion, "But I fought them off....and didn't have any thing worth taking on me." He says the last bit sheepishly as he takes a drink. "Well I have the money for you for testing it." He pulls his wallet from his pocket and scans his arm then motions for syn to give his scard or arm so he can transfer money, "So how did it work? And how did you get back you crazy bastard? Looks like someone got you patched up."

Dawn
The man chuckles and pats her thigh, "Sure I can invite him. I'll just need to call him. Just wait here sweet cheeks." He gets up and leaves the area to make a call to Mr. M. When he gets far enough away he becomes serious looking as he starts his call to update Mr. M about the updates and a posable new recruit.

Raid/hikaru
Alessa snorts, "Well I am leaving for a outpost once Regis here gets his bearings and does not have another organ failure." There is a dull metallic thump when she kicks the suit he is in.
Clanker doesn't seem to respond for a few moments before speaking, "They won't fail...Not after what you did to them." There is a long pause before he says, "Insulated wiring and a new joint for Hikaru." Something sounds very fuzzy before the speaker switches off. There is an audible pop as the speakers get turned on again. "Er... Why am I here? I thought I gave the AIs very specific notes...talking... things. Things to pass on. Very thankful for not being left behind." Seems like things might be catching up to the freshly purged and rebooted mechanicus, besides his initial reactions.

So far no one care to look over at the table for too long or only do when Clanker speaks since it is obviously odd to hear a fully mechanical voice with no emotional inflections.

Odessa
Mr. M looks at her and frowns. Before he gets any thing his phone goes off and he excuses him self. "Yes? This better be good." He pauses as the man explains him self. "Ah yes That does sound like a good Idea. I will see you when I do then."
He smiles at Odessa an says smoothly, "Why don't you accompany me to your uncles house. If you need a place to stay I am sure you can stay at your uncles house." He smiles and holds his hand out for her own. "you can always rely on relatives right?" He grins, "And you seem like you would want to have some fun when you relax."

Odessa's room:
It is well lived in with an unmade bed with blankets spilling off a side of the bed and fur everywhere, concentrated about a chair in front of a body sized mirror. Looks like it has been a while since she has vacuumed. Her dirty clothing is in a general pile of dirtiness. There is a dresser with random nick nacks on it, and what appears to be a filing cabinet of some kind. Her realistic moving tiger android/robot is on her bed before giving for those that have broken into it's master's bedroom a warning of a roar as the eyes go red.



Else where:
Odessa lets her eye lids drop as she does not hide her expression of 'you are not letting me escape are you' from Mr. M before taking his hand and letting him help her up. "I will join you if you insist making this difficult but I rather go where I said I would like to be dropped off. I prefer those that I have gotten to know then play the politics of the rich Mr. M. And you should learn the games they play as well." She smooths out her clothing and watches him. "And I will be your female companion if we are going. Me and my family are not on good terms right now." She lets what she just said hang in the air before turning to leave with him and his escort. "You really should learn the fine threads of one's actions and the connection with their family." She waits to see what Mr. M does.

Syn smiles and exchanges info with Bruno. He tells him about the spilling problem the armor has with heat. He also tells Bruno about his doctor, in case he needs good care.
He calls Odessa's cell. "Hey cous, we got paid! Anytime you want me to drop of the cash?"
He will also call the others, but the call may interrupt her conversation.

Odessa holds up her finger as she answers the call, "Ah Syn. How nice for you to call... Can you get me from our uncle's house? You know the one with the sex bot.. Dawn I think is her name. I also was meaning to ask... can I crash at your place after we get my cat from my place. It sounds like Regis might of ...reorganized the place. With what... I have no Idea." She listens for his response. She has no desire to stay at the party and prefer her basterd cousin greatly over any one else in her family since her dad died.

Dawn wiggles her hips and blows a kiss to the man as he pats her thigh, she watches as the man walks away and blinks as he gets a serious look and thinks as she puts one hand on her hip and taps her chin. "Hmm...excuse me, sir?" She waves to the man when he gets done with his call and walks over to him. "Perhaps you could do me one more small favor before we head back to my home?"

Raid gulps down her latest drink as Charles looks up the best place to get a new joint an insulated wiring.
"Hikaru stay with these tow. Don't want ya getting ant more banged up." Raid says as she finishes the last of the food.
SHe looks about the room before looking at Alessa, "Call Charles if things go ta slag. I'll be back as fast as I can. Hikaru keep an eye on these two an keep them safe." Raid say as she get up and starts for the door.

"I see. Thanks for the info." Kessler unplugged himself from the AI and turned to the police. "I'm done here. I won't take up anymore of your time. Oh, and stay out of the roommate's room. There's a robot cat in there that might tear you guys up." Kessler bid goodbye to them and headed back to his car. A little while later, he was outside the Neon Scratch Bar. He headed inside and ordered a drink. "I'm looking for Foxy. Is she around?"
